Donation Giveaway Success!

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make our Community Giveback a success. We’ll be wrapping things up at 4:00PM today, and we have very limited donation items remaining. If you haven’t stopped by yet, now is the time.

A special thank you to our local Meijer in Highland and our Parks team for helping make this possible. We truly appreciate your support and partnership.

This week, Public Works crews and contractors completed their first full pass through town, picking up major debris.

The second pass will begin after Labor Day and begin on the south side of town heading north. We encourage residents to take the next few days to get remaining vegetation debris to the curb for pickup.

Uprooted stumps and tipped root balls on the parkways will also be part of this second pass. Stumps that are still in the ground will be dealt with at a later date, and we will provide more specific details regarding that process as they become available.

Thank you for your continued patience through this cleanup process, and have a safe Labor Day weekend.

Debris Removal Update (9/1/26)

Our Public Works crews and contractors have made significant progress in their cleanup efforts, and they are finishing up their first pass through town this week.

That first pass has included:
β€’ 90,654 cubic yards of vegetation debris collected
β€’ 1,710 hanging limbs cut
β€’ 225 trees removed

After Labor Day, crews will be making a second pass. Much of what remains on the parkways is tipped root balls, and those will be picked up during that second pass β€” along with other remaining vegetation debris. For stumps that are still in the ground, we will have additional details coming soon.

As always, thank you for your continued patience throughout this process.
