Congratulations to Alexis, Toby and Tristan! We traveled to Encinitas Saturday for their Sam Dan shimsa. (3rd Dan) They performed terrific.
I was very proud of them and all of the CMA students on the floor. Thank you Mark W. Pattison for hosting the test. It felt so good being in a dojang.

Arrowhead Tang Soo Do had a reunion BBQ last night. Over 50 people came out sharing their best pot luck dish. It was some of the best Mac and Cheese and Potato Salads. Perhaps next time we have a contest too for who makes the best! Everyone that comes from ATSD has a competitive edge!
SBN Stephanie Argentine, SBN Bruce Mays and SBN Glenn Olsen enjoyed seeing everyone! There were the OG students from 2003! They are all grown up now! There was a lot of love sprinkled around the Plaza tonight. Best part for sure, were all of the students spoke about a pivotal moment or most memorable while training at ATSD. There were mentioning of some good fighting in a game we played called “Pick Yo Victim” there numerous push ups that we did when you made a mistake and “The Circle of Love” self defense that they had to do when testing. Most of all, love the human connection stories. The life long friendships that were built because we trained together. We all had a tear or two here and there. SBN loves her students like family and is so proud of each and every one. There were many conversations sounding like “Remember that time at that tournament in….?”
This was a heartwarming evening. The hugs, laughter and tears were beautiful, and we will be together again soon.
Thank you to the families that drove into town to be here.

I'm always so proud of this group of Dan's. They have never stopped since we closed the dojang. Bella and Alexis are training hard for their 3rd Dan testing in the spring. They remind me of why I love
Tang Soo Do. This family we create is unbreakable. I am a lucky SBN.

We had a great time training on a cold rainy day.
We had 10 years of Annual Halloween Havoc Fighting Tournaments. Black Belt Beach trainings will be our new tradition.
We are missing 6 dan members in this picture.
They were unable to attend and they were missed.

With the heaviest heart I share the news of Grandmaster Salms passing. Our deepest condolences to the Salm family and everybody he touched.
RIP KJN Salm.❤

With a broken heart, I pass my condolences and love to the Salm family on the passing of our leading light, mentor, leader, father, instructor and much more, Grandmaster Theodurus Peter Salm. He was taken ill yesterday and passed away quietly at 11:22 am EST, with his family by his side. The world has lost another legend, but he will grace and be welcomed in the Great Dojang and his contribution to the worldwide Tang Soo Do is second to none. Kam Sah Mi Da Kwang Jang Nim, will love you forever.
