Last Day of Softball Camp with Taylor Schafer & Alyssa Jordan🥎

What a great way to wrap up an awesome week!

With many athletes home for the summer, you never know who you might see training and today we welcomed 2 special guests:

⭐ Char Lorenz – Softball player at LSU
⭐ Tegan Tripp – Lake Central senior and Virginia Tech commit

Our campers had the opportunity to learn from athletes who have competed at a high level and understand what it takes to continue growing in the sport.

Over the course of camp, the girls put in a tremendous amount of work, got lots of reps, and made noticeable improvements in their skills and confidence. It’s been incredible to watch their effort, focus, and growth each day.

A huge thank you to all of our guest instructors for investing their time in our athletes, and thank you to all of the players who brought great energy and enthusiasm throughout the week!

Day 2 of camp was another great day of learning, competition, and growth! 🥎

We were excited to welcome special guest Teagan Tripp, LC 3rd baseman and Virginia Tech commit, who joined us yesterday to share her experience and knowledge with our athletes. Opportunities like these give our players a firsthand look at what it takes to compete at the next level!

Today, we were fortunate to have two more outstanding athletes stop by camp:
⭐ Moira Falli – Softball player at St. Louis University
⭐ Char Lorenz – Softball player at LSU

These athletes continue to bring incredible energy, effort, and enthusiasm each day, and it’s been awesome watching them learn from athletes who have successfully taken their game to the collegiate level.

We’re looking forward to one more great day of training tomorrow!

We kicked off summer hours yesterday and we couldn’t have asked for a better start! ☀️

Taylor Schafer and Alyssa Jordan kicked things off with a SOLD OUT softball clinic, bringing together a great group of athletes ready to put in the work. Session one of this 3-day series focused on both offense and defense, and these girls brought the energy from start to finish!

We loved seeing the effort, enthusiasm, and competitive spirit on display.

If you missed out on this opportunity, this is just the beginning of everything we have planned for the summer. Stay tuned for more clinics, training opportunities, and ways to keep improving all season long!

Summer schedules are starting to fill up and we know many of our athletes have already officially “closed the books” for the school year 📚☀️

Training doesn’t stop, but our hours are shifting for the summer.

📅 Effective Monday, June 1, APF moves to our seasonal summer schedule:

✅ Facility open for walk-ins
Monday–Thursday | 9AM–12PM

✅ Classes move to mornings
9AM • 10AM • 11AM
Same classes. New workouts. Better summer flow.

We’re moving everything earlier so you can get your work in and still have the rest of your summer days free.

⚠️ Team practices, private training, and facility rentals are NOT affected by these updated hours.

As we head into beach season, most people probably aren’t looking at sand as an opportunity to train.

We see it a little differently. 👊

Away from the sun and heat, tucked inside our fully air-conditioned facility, is a different kind of sand pit. Designed to help athletes move better, recover smarter, and build strength from the ground up.

Training in sand can help athletes:
✔️ Reduce impact on joints during explosive work
✔️ Improve balance, stability, and body control
✔️ Increase lower body strength and power
✔️ Challenge conditioning in a completely different way
✔️ Build stronger feet, ankles, and stabilizer muscles

It’s one of the most versatile surfaces an athlete can train on and one of the toughest workouts they’ll love to hate.

Our 45-minute SAND classes have now moved to morning weekday timeslots throughout the summer.

Come get the work in before the day heats up.

This one goes out to all the coaches out there.

From peewee teams to competitive travel programs and beyond, we’ve had the privilege of seeing some incredible coaches walk through our doors.

Some are parent volunteers. Some are former athletes themselves. But every one of them is giving athletes something that goes far beyond the game.

Sometimes it’s about responsibility.
Sometimes it’s about sportsmanship.
How to lose with dignity and win with grace.

We see friendships formed, tested, challenged, and strengthened through the highs and lows of competition. We see confidence built, lessons learned, and memories created that athletes will carry long after the season ends.

In a world where success is too often measured only by wins and losses, we want to shine a light on the coaches who are doing it the right way.

Thank you for the time, energy, patience, and heart you pour into your teams every single season. If you've had a coach whose impact has reached far beyond the scoreboard, this is your chance to show them some love. Tag away!

Memorial Day weekend was celebrated in many different ways, and for some travel baseball teams, the 3-day weekend meant competing with one goal in mind; bringing home championships. ⚾🏆

Two teams. Two states. Same goal.
Congratulations to:

🔥 Flash 14U Bolz — Champions of the Schererville Stars & Stripes Tournament in Schererville, IN

🔥 Flash 14U Schafer/Slaven — Champions of the PBR Pastime Tournaments May Madness at The Rock in Franklin, WI

Hard work. Preparation. Results. Proud to see these athletes competing at a high level and representing the program the right way. Keep stacking wins, boys!

Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. 🇺🇸

As we spend time with family, friends, and our community, pause to reflect on those who gave everything in service to our country.

From all of us at APF, thank you to our fallen heroes and the military families who carry their legacy forward.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.
