First trip to the Prairie dirt classic to race.

It’s gonna be a little bit of a long post. I’m sure there are some out there that think that I had no business being there or are laughing at me. I had no intentions or expectations from going up there but to learn and have fun and enjoy myself with that being said Friday night we qualified the car was OK. I over tightened it up over thought things for the feature ended up only making a few laps because the car was too tight and couldn’t turn it. On Saturday we made some big changes went back to some of the basic things on the car made a few adjustments on our own finally found a balance in the car from Friday to Saturday we picked up almost a second and a half a lap in speed, which is a big thing when racing against  those guys. We were able to pass a few cars on Saturday in the constellation race. We added to our notebook. I finally feel like I have a balance in the car and I’m happy with it.. was all that being said. We will be going back up next year to the Prairie dirt classic to race again it is unreal atmosphere to be up there and be part of it.

Hopefully we can get some luck on our side coming up here soon. We went to highland for summer nationals, qualified 14th in our group started seventh in the in the heat and finish seventh in the heat, which would’ve put us in the B main but after the heat race we noticed we were leaking oil pretty good come to find out we shove the driveshaft into the back of the transmission and not the rear tail seal out. We didn’t have enough time to change it and fix it so we called it and parked it for the night. I already got the car unloaded this morning going back to work on it. Not sure where we’ll be at next weekend, but we will find somewhere to go racing. Hats off to my guys helping.

It may not have been all our life, but after a few weeks off due to Mother Nature it sure feels like it. Excited to be back in action with our Kryptonite Race Cars Late Model at Highland Speedway this Saturday for Summer Nationals tomorrow night.

Went to Fairbury on the 20th and had high hopes on turning some laps. That plan lasted until the end of hot laps when the driveshaft decided it just really needed some space from the race car and took a nap on the front stretch.

Butch went back in the box and we called it a night. We will be back at again this week.
