A little history about Hoffman Farms.....

Somewhere around 1830, a man named Elias Doty chose to farm a picturesque stretch of Michigan countryside that spanned 300 acres in both Highland and Rose Townships.

In 1973, Susan Briggs Fisher bought the property years after she had married into the legendary Fisher Body Family. Her father, Walter O. Briggs, was the largest automobile body manufacturer in the country. To Detroiters, he was even better known as the owner of the Tigers and Briggs Stadium.

In 1993, this idyllic farm became my home. Today Hoffman Farms continues to maintain the farming and stabling traditions of its predecessors.

Many exciting events have taken place on the farm since I purchased it. On August 7, 2007, we hosted a fundraiser for Senator John McCain. In 2009, MTV shot an episode of Teen Cribs on our property. Also in 2009, Michigan native Tommy Steele and his band shot a music video for their famous hit, "Watching Love Grow."

We are currently in the process of bottling Hoffman Farms wine and constructing a wine tasting room on site, which will be open to the public!
