Howdy Everyone! Doc's Memorial Outdoor Adventures will be hosting multiple events this spring and summer.

First will be Fishing camp, March 17 and 18 happening at Double Tree Ranch and done jointly through the City of Highland Village. There is limited space.
Also through the City of Highland Village, I will be hosting classes for your Boating License, required of everyone 13 or older born after 1993 to legally drive a boat in Texas. See this page for more info: https://www.highlandvillage.org/1117/Explore-Outdoors weekly

Second will be family camp, held at Lake Godstone in Jacksboro. There will be fishing, hiking, bonfires, etc. It will be either glamping dorm style in a large lodge OR you may camp along the dam of the lake. There are lots of fish, and we do lots of other activities, like a fi****ms range, hayrides, etc. There are limited spaces on this trip, and it is first come, first serve, so EMAIL me at [email protected] for reservations.

Third: Outdoor Skills Camp will resume this year through the city of Highland Village, dates TBA. We will likely do this at Unity Park. I will release info ASAP.

Finally, I am still hosting camping and hunting trips through my non-profit, Doc’s Memorial Outdoor Adventures. www.docsmemorialoutdooradventures.com . If you are interested in participating in ANY of our activities, please let me know. We do dove, deer, hog, turkey and exotic hunts throughout the year. Here is a close-up of Leland's shot. We have had this buck on camera at least 3 years.....he is older and wiser, but he was already big bodied a couple of years ago. This was the first time he showed up in front of one of our hunters.

Ever wonder how those big windmill farms effect our weather? This was Friday, a little north of Lampasas. This was a thunderstorm moving from southwest of us in a northeastern direction. The clouds Would rise up, go over and sink down as they rode over a windmill farm. You can zoom in and see the turbines spinning. This is a very drastic change in a very short distance……wonder how much precipitation dropped because of that rapid uplift? Looks like very heavy rain.
