25 years later, we remember.
For Marcus Cheer, remembering September 11th means more than posting a tribute. Each year, when we travel to New York City, we bring our athletes to Ground Zero and the 9/11 Memorial & Museum. We take the time to teach them what happened, who was lost, the heroes who ran toward danger, and how September 11, 2001 forever changed our country.
As the years pass, fewer of our athletes have a direct connection to that day. That makes our responsibility to educate them even greater.
We are committed to making sure every Marcus cheerleader understands the significance of 9/11, knows the stories behind the names, and recognizes the courage, sacrifice, unity, and humanity that emerged from one of our nation’s darkest days.
Twenty-five years later, a new generation carries the responsibility of remembering.
