This past Saturday the RVRR racing team ran the Penguin Pace 5K Coed Championship. It was very chilly but we got it done! Congratulations to all the runners!

RVRR is excited to announce a clothing sale for RVRR branded merchandise. The store will be open until September 5th, and if all goes well we will run the store again at a later date. There are many fun items available and please click on each item to see the color choices---it's not all navy and white, there are red, yellow, pink, light blue, and even tie dye options, depending on the item!

The order will be shipped all at once, and clothes will be made available at club runs or can be shipped at an extra cost. Estimated availability is last week of September.

New team racing singlets are also available--samples for sizing may be available before the store closes, please check with your captains. Size charts are available in the store for every item.

Tonight’s regular Monday night club run will still happen as scheduled but the library will be closed. Hope to see you there! We still have 8 runners participating in the February Monday night incentive.

Monday’s Night Club Run Description: Franklin Public Library at 485 DeMott Lane, Somerset. The run starts at 6:30 PM. The course is a loop that covers about 7.1 miles, but can be made shorter. It is marked by orange arrows.

See if you can spot any familiar faces in this photo from 1993, in the club's 10th year.

Just one decade earlier in 1983, Allen Paul was cruising around Highland Park and the best running spots in surrounding neighborhoods handing out flyers for a running and social group aiming to meet once or twice weekly at the YM-YWHA on Adelaide street.

They met at the Y because it had a place to shower and dress so that they could share a meal afterwards. The social aspects of this club were strong even at its inception, and its founders including Paul, Doug Brown, Bruce Nadler and others felt that good relationships would be the glue that would keep this wild experiment running strong.

Still, 40 years, 18 presidents and about 2,080 consecutive (!) Wednesday night runs later, I don't think they could have imagined that RVRR would grow into the powerhouse it has become. So, get out there and grab some miles with a friend. Wear your oldest race shirts to the next couple of club runs. There will be an award for the oldest of the old on the Saturday run at Johnson Park.

RVRR men and women competed at the Dual State Track Meet on Feb. 9th. Some took home gold medals! Congratulations to all participants!
