This photo was taken at the house we acquired in order to save the colony of 35 cats and have the first ‘community cat garden’ in this area. For many, this is the only home they’ve known, including that little one who became homeless when his owner moved from that street and left him. He never leaves that yard. We can’t fail him or the others.
We have 5 weeks to make a lot of improvements. **WE NEED SOMEONE WITH EXPERIENCE WITH PORCHES AND FENCES.** Please contact us at: [email protected] if you have experience and would like to help.

There is a never ending need between our fosters and homeless cats we care for:

•3 cats on our stray route are having difficulty eating.
It’s an additional $15-$20/day for food for just them until we have fosters and funds

•2 of our senior fosters took a turn and need bloodwork and tests ran=$600

John “Count” Gengler (1882-1957)
🎳 For about 25 years, from 1910-1935, The Count would go from town to town looking for a Bowling Alley with a “Pot game” going on.
🎳 He soon began making a living as a traveling bowling hustler–since he bowled palm ball and used only one step, he looked like an easy mark.
🎳 When he eventually lost his anonymity, Gengler became an exhibition bowler.
🎳 He bowled very few tournaments, though he did team with Harry Cohn to win the Doubles in the 1916 Atlantic Coast Bowling Tournament.
🎳 The Count bowled on the 7 Maple Lanes at Asbury Park’s famous Coleman House Circa 1920’s.
🎳 Gengler quit bowling after losing a well-publicized match to Jimmy Smith in 1926.
🎳 He spent the rest of his life in New York and New Orleans, raising race horses.
