For the past three decades, Iโve had the privilege of watching Halcyon evolve from an idea born among explorers into what I consider the premier brand in cave and technical diving.
My connection with Halcyon extends far beyond the equipment itself. Over the years, Iโve had the distinct honor of photographing Halcyon catalogs, testing new equipment, and diving alongside the visionary founders whose commitment to innovation continues to shape our industry.
Throughout my career as a cave explorer, instructor trainer, and technical diver, Halcyon has been there.
From exploration dives in the vast cave systems of North Florida, Mexico, China, France, and the Philippines to deep wreck expeditions across the globe, Iโve relied on Halcyon equipment in some of the most demanding environments imaginableโoften hundreds of feet beneath the surface or miles from the nearest exit underground.
During many of the Woodville Karst Plain Projectโs most significant exploration years, I trusted my life to the RB80 rebreather system. In environments where reliability is non-negotiable and failure is not an option, Halcyon consistently delivered.
That trust allowed our teams to focus on what mattered most: extending exploration, gathering knowledge, and pushing the boundaries of what was possible underwater.
What stands out most after all these years isnโt just the durability of the equipmentโthough many pieces have accompanied me on countless dives around the worldโitโs the people behind it.
Halcyon helped create more than exceptional gear; it fostered a global community of explorers, innovators, educators, and lifelong friends united by a shared passion for discovery.
The equipment never let me down, but more importantly, it connected me with a world-class family.
For 30 years, Halcyon hasnโt simply been part of my diving journey.
