According to the governor, as of Wednesday, 3.25.2020 Nine Lotus Center will have to suspend physical classes during this period. We will have classes tomorrow. A couple folks are trying to help me figure how to have regular T'ai Chi Gong classes via internet and make tuition via Facebook.

GINGER & GARLIC vs Caronavirus?

Heyo Everyone,

According to sources, there is no vaccine or cure for this new virus. People are going nuts ... buying up TP, wipes, food, and all kinds of things, and holing up in their dwellings in terror that nobody breathes on them or touches them.

What if the cure is right here?

Garlic is one of the most powerful agents in the world. Recent research suggests Ginger may be more powerful than chemotherapy (I'm not going to discourse, look it up).

I've been known for years for my health. Aside from challenges brought on by a dentist quack in Piney Flats, I haven't had strep throat or the flu since the early 1990's.

I am sharing two of my recipes which I live by ...

We will be holding a 12-week class in Chair T'ai Chi ... Free for Veterans, taught by Veterans ,,, on Tuesday & Thursday morning from 10:30 - 11:25 am ... July 23 - October 10.

This class is especially suited to those with mobility issues.

In June I will be starting a 12-week Chair T'ai Chi/Chi Gong Program at the Nine Lotus Center, tailored for those with walking challenges.

I've taught this before, on a Private scale.

This class will be on Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 10:30-11:25.

This class is FOR Veterans, taught BY Veterans, and is FREE for Veterans.

If this goes well, the class will be offered again ... and again ... and again.

Once i get the edges worked out (I will be teaching from a chair, facing the class ... so I will be doing the Form in mirror image) I will offer same type Program available Monday and Wednesday evening from 4:30-5:25 for the general public at a reduced rate from regular tuition.

We will be closed Monday, May 29, to observe Memorial Day.

Beginning Tuesday, May 30, we will begin regular classes in Chinese Yoga every Tuesday & Thursday evening, starting at 5:30.

Coming soon: "Chair T'ai Chi," a class for those wheelchair bound, or who have sever walking challenges. This will be the complete Jiu Ling T'ai Chi Form, but from a chair perspective ... complete with Chinese Yoga/Chi Gong. This class will be held on Tuesday & Thursday mornings, beginning at 10:30.

An introduction to the Jiu Ling Form for Beginners. Often, folk just starting in T'ai Chi will attempt to wide of a stance, or to "Float their Feet" from one movement to the next before balance has been developed, and they get frustrated. This clip highlights notes just for beginners.

Jiu Ling T'ai Chi is a Large Frame Form, meaning movements are wide and sweeping with both hand and footwork. But beginners should take small steps as their muscles acclimate to the movements and balance is developed.
