Do you ever wonder if you should upgrade your clubs?

To add to this, I think if you are using older "knock-off" brand clubs, upgrading to older Ping, Callaway, Titleist, etc is also a great option to see distance and forgiveness and also save money!

You don't always need the most expensive. Money towards lessons would be much more valuable as you are learning.

When Should You Upgrade Your Driver?

A newer driver doesn’t automatically mean longer drives. For many golfers, the biggest gains come from better fitting, more consistent contact, and the right shaft and loft.

Before spending money on the latest model, consider:

✅ Older driver? A newer club may offer meaningful improvements in forgiveness and distance.
✅ Driver from the last few years? The difference may be much smaller than expected.
✅ Not hitting the center consistently? Work on contact first—equipment can’t completely fix poor strike quality.
✅ Thinking about upgrading? Get properly fitted and compare launch, spin, ball speed, dispersion, and carry distance.

The goal isn’t to own the newest driver—it’s to find the equipment that actually improves your performance.

Save your money when the numbers don’t show a meaningful improvement.

One of the things I try to do when I travel for work is not just stay in my hotel room. Golf has been a great way to accomplish this and finding some really cool courses. stone Creek is a 9 hole course that finds ways to challenge you with turns and hazards!!
