Venom Stars 16U Roll Past Farm Dogs 16U

Venom Stars 16U easily dispatched Farm Dogs 16U on Saturday at Appalachian State University, 11-1.

Farm Dogs 16U got on the board in the first inning after Jonah Hilliker singled, scoring one run.

Venom Stars 16U captured the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the first after Jacob Greene homered to left field, and Zane DeRisi grounded into a fielder's choice, each scoring one run.

A walk by Greene extended the Venom Stars 16U lead to 3-1 in the bottom of the second inning.

A single by Kelbyn Mathis, and a play helped Venom Stars 16U extend their early lead in the third.

Venom Stars 16U scored five runs on zero hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Isaac Chapman drew a walk, scoring one run, Brooks Weaver drew a walk, scoring one run, Landon Yopp drew a walk, scoring one run, and an error scored one run.

Yopp earned the win for Venom Stars 16U. The righty allowed three hits and one run over four innings, striking out five and walking two. Liam Daniel began the game for Farm Dogs 16U. The starting pitcher allowed three hits and three runs over two innings, striking out one and walking three.

Weaver, Braden Borgia, Mathis, Greene, and Jacob Mascorro each collected one hit for Venom Stars 16U. Greene went 1-for-1 at the plate and led the team with two runs batted in. Venom Stars 16U had patience at the plate, piling up 10 walks for the game. Yopp, Greene, Chapman, and DeRisi led the team with two walks each. Noah Reny stole two bases. Venom Stars 16U Beat Dirtbags Coastal 16U

Venom Stars 16U were triumphant over Dirtbags Coastal 16U 11-7 on Saturday at Appalachian State University.

Venom Stars 16U jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Braden Borgia singled, scoring one run, Zane DeRisi drew a walk, scoring one run, Kelbyn Mathis tripled, scoring three runs, and Christopher Bass tripled, scoring one run.

Dirtbags Coastal 16U scored five runs on five hits in the bottom of the first inning. Ethan Hardee tripled, scoring three runs, an error scored one run, and Kaeden Garman doubled, scoring one run.

Venom Stars 16U scored two runs in the top of the second on a home run to left field by Jacob Greene.

Easton Allen pitched three innings in relief for Venom Stars 16U. The hurler allowed zero hits and zero runs while, striking out none and walking one. Luke Sipka started on the hill for Venom Stars 16U. The pitcher allowed five hits and five runs (four earned) over two innings, striking out three and walking one. Gavin Speedling started on the bump for Dirtbags Coastal 16U. The starting pitcher gave up four hits and six runs over two-thirds of an inning, striking out two and walking four.

Venom Stars 16U collected 11 hits in the game. Venom Stars 16U's Bass, the number nine hitter, led Venom Stars 16U with three hits in three at bats. Mathis and Bass were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in three runs for Venom Stars 16U. Greene and Isaac Chapman each collected multiple hits for Venom Stars 16U. Colton McMurry led Venom Stars 16U with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, amassing six walks for the game. Venom Stars 16U turned one triple play in the game.

Hardee drove the middle of the lineup, leading Dirtbags Coastal 16U with three runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. Ethan Palumbo led Dirtbags Coastal 16U with two hits in three at bats.

Venom Stars 16U Breeze Past West Ashley Aces 2028/2029

Venom Stars 16U won big over West Ashley Aces 2028/2029 12-2 on Saturday at Greenwood Field.

Venom Stars 16U got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Venom Stars 16U scored on a wild pitch, Jacob Greene doubled down the right field line, and Brooks Weaver singled to center field, each scoring one run.

Venom Stars 16U added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Zane DeRisi walked, Easton Allen singled down the left field line, and Greene singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.

Venom Stars 16U scored six runs on four hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Colton McMurry doubled, scoring two runs, Noah Reny drew a walk, scoring one run, Cooper Boggs hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Isaac Chapman singled, scoring one run, and Allen drew a walk, scoring one run.

Allen earned the win for Venom Stars 16U. The starter allowed three hits and two runs over four innings, striking out five and walking none. Dylan Haefner stepped on the mound first for West Ashley Aces 2028/2029. The starter allowed eight hits and six runs over two and one-third innings, striking out five and walking three.

Venom Stars 16U collected 12 hits in the game. McMurry, Greene, and Chapman each collected two hits for Venom Stars 16U. Allen and McMurry each drove in two runs for Venom Stars 16U. DeRisi led Venom Stars 16U with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, collecting seven walks for the game. Chapman stole two bases. Venom Stars 16U ran wild on the base paths, piling up six stolen bases for the game. Venom Stars 16U were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Greene had the most chances in the field with five.

Landon Nutter set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading West Ashley Aces 2028/2029 with two hits in two at bats. West Ashley Aces 2028/2029 didn't commit a single error in the field. Nutter had the most chances in the field with four.
