I had a fantastic time at this year's Shuri-Te Bu-jutsu-Kai International Conference! It was a huge 4 day conference with multiple styles of martial arts from a wide variety of countries including Japan, Okinawa, China, the Philippines, Brazil, and the United States. It had a wide variety of talented instructors from all across the United States. I am looking forward to attending it again next year.

🇺🇲 I had an awesome time attending the very first official AFS/ADIDAS Training Camp in NYC this past weekend. It was for elite training in kata & kumite competitions. 🤓 Feeling very grateful for an amazing weekend of learning and sharing during the Advanced Martial Arts Symposium held a couple weekends ago.

Level UP!!!🎉11 months ago, my family made a huge decision.....after almost 9 years of training, I changed dojos. Change is hard! I had to learn a brand new style of karate, which also meant taking a lower rank, but I pushed through, worked really hard, and I have met lots of awesome new people along the journey. I am so thankful for the new opportunity, and very thankful for the wonderful leadership at Newton's Karate. Sensei Newton has made me feel like a part of the family from the very beginning. I have learned so much in 11 months, and this weekend, I earned my new belt rank of Sankyu. I'm excited to see what the future holds for me as I continue this karate journey.
