Had a sick goose in our field, so a field biologist was contacted to check it out. While he was there he waited until we finished our afternoon hunt to take samples from the geese we harvested. For those of you in the Kentucky and Tennessee area hunting snow geese be mindful of sick birds. Avian influenza has been detected in the area and more data needs to be collected. The biologist will be in the area for a couple weeks and asked that anyone having any luck with the geese let him know so he can take samples from harvested birds. The more the merrier. Call, text, or message and I will get you in touch with him.

Thanks everyone for the calls, messages, and texts checking on us after the storms this past weekend. We are all okay and have had very little damage if any on our personal property and equipment, however many of our friends and their families in neighboring communities have lost everything. Since so many of you have called/text about bringing items to help those victims I wanted to let everyone know where items need to go. Clothing needs to go to the Cayce Baptist Church, all other items and donations need to go to the Fulton County Fiscal Court Building (Old Armory Building) in Hickman.
