This is the 𝐎𝐍𝐄 and 𝐎𝐍𝐋𝐘 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭/𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 with the coaching staff and an excellent opportunity for both parents and players to understand what to expect and how to get involved beginning THIS summer.

Summer schedules, strength training/OTA information, in-season dates, fundraising opportunities, and player expectations will all be covered.

Even if you are undecided on football, this is a great meeting to attend for information and to better understand the opportunities within the program.

The incoming freshman player contact list is incomplete, and some families may not be receiving emails. We want to make sure no interested player misses this information or the opportunity to get involved in summer workouts.

👕 Kennedy Football apparel will also be available for purchase through the football support group, including t-shirts and athletic shorts.

Final team dinner of the season tonight for the 2025 Varsity Cougar Football team. Very bittersweet for the seniors (and the senior parents) as this will be their last team dinner together. This is a special group of guys. Both coaches and players. They battled like crazy all year long and never gave in! Regardless of total wins and losses, these young men are WINNERS. They will win in life because of the hard fought lessons learned on the gridiron. Lessons learned in both victory and defeat. The bond of cougar FAMILY can NEVER BE BROKEN 👊🏽.
As an added bonus tonight, coach White was given the honor of being "coined" by the National Guard. An honor given to leaders, and there's no denying coach White is one of the best! The countless hours he pours into our boys doesn't go unnoticed, and it was very cool to see him get the attention he deserves! Congrats Coach!!

Tomorrow will be our final home game of the season, so make sure to get out to Kingston and watch our Cougars do battle with Dallas Center Grimes!! It's senior night, so arrive early and help us to honor the young men who devoted the last 4 years to helping build our beloved program!

🎆 Homecoming parade was a massive success tonight! Our Football players had a great time and the crowd support was phenomenal as always! Thank you to all our parent volunteers for showing up, decorating, helping to get the boys on the floats and helping with clean up! We have the BEST parents out there. As I always say, many hands make light work. And the hands showed up tonight!!
We had to make a last minute shuffle due to the shutdown. So we have a few BIG thank you's to hand out!

•Winger Companies stepped in and provided us with a 40ft gooseneck trailer to haul some of the boys. They heard we needed help and stepped right up! Thanks to our Kennedy alum on staff there for spreading the word quickly! And thanks to Scott Winger for hauling the trailer during the parade! We appreciate it tremendously!

•United States Army was the first group I received a call from after making the post. They were ready to jump in and help us any way possible! They showed up with a big truck to haul a huge group of our Seniors. SFC Garth and SSG Kelley, we appreciate you!!

•Our friends at the National Guard came through clutch for us. After the shutdown squashed our original plan, these folks showed up in their PERSONAL vehicles and equipment. They were determined to still show up for this team and it most certainly did not go unnoticed!
And just to brag a little extra- our National Guard rep Rylea Maxfield has always been willing to help us out. She goes the extra mile for our students and team and we sure do appreciate the heck out of her and the whole crew!

•Brian Bunting (Black Widow Diesel truck repair) provided and hauled 20 hay bales over to set on the flatbeds and use as seats for the players. He also was on the phone right away working on solutions for us in case we needed it! Another parent that stepped up for the team 👊🏻.

•Last but not least, Pizza World came in and went ALL OUT with pizzas and pastas. Their ownership stepped up in a huge way and helped us get our players and coaches fed before the parade! 🍕Cougar family lets make sure to show out and give them some business to show our gratitude!!!

It's times like these where we truly see how big our amazing Cougar Family really is. They step up when we need them every time!! Now, onto tomorrow evening to earn the W!

‼️ATTENTION COUGAR NATION‼️

We've got a problem. Due to the government shutdown, we just found out we are unable to have the National Guard at the Homecoming parade tomorrow afternoon. They have provided the large flatbed trucks that are used to carry our Football team through the parade.
This is extremely short notice, so we will have to find a solution as quickly as possible with the parade being tomorrow afternoon! If anyone has recommendations or ideas, please reach out to our Support Group President (Jason Gloede) at 319-270-9281.
Thanks cougars! I'm confident we will find a solution!

Way to go Cougars!! We have the best parents and fans out there. Everyone stepped up and we got it covered! Thanks to all who shared this post. We truly have THE BEST support system around ❤️

‼️SWEATSHIRTS ARE DONE‼️
If you ordered a custom Kennedy Football sweatshirt, they will be available for pickup tomorrow afternoon between 3:15-5:00pm in the South Lot at Kennedy High School. Football Support Group President, (Jason Gloede) will be parked on the West side of the South lot near the tennis courts. Look for a white Chevy Tahoe.
Payment will be required upon pickup (cash, check or Venmo). If this time frame doesn't work for you, please reach out to Jason directly via text to set up another pickup option. 319-270-9281.
