There are a couple variations to get in and out of the 9" squat required for sports car ownership!
There is the swift and beautiful uneven squat with one foot on the ground and one inside the vehicle with or without holding onto the steering wheel as the owner slides effortlessly in and out of the vehicle.
There is the more commonly used squat-and-turn method. This entry starts with both feet on the ground to sit down and then the driver must do a seated turn to get both feet into the vehicle. It is often accompanied with the hands grab on the roof and door to help raise the body. Drivers have the benefit of the steering wheel for added leverage on the exit. Getting in is always easier since gravity takes over.
I have seen one individual bend over to place hands on the console and kneel onto the seat for a gymnastic turn and plop sort of entry... It was unique.
All that said, if your retirement goal involves a sports car start those low squats now!

I am not sure where the line between the men's weights and the women's weights is located... So ladies, if you see it please step over it and then smudge it out while doing your lifts... And gentlemen, you are certainly welcome to erase that line too.

Another throwback workout from Chatuge Strength 2000! I love this workout! It's frustrating mixed with fun! When you get down with the strength cycle you may end up back on the bike or row for 10 seconds or 4 minutes depending on how far into the song you started that cycle! It's a ladder workout adding 2 to each strength set! How far can you go in 50 minutes! Have fun!

Do you know what what coaches do for their own workouts? Really simple sets that are super effective. This is my favorite workout and I can stretch into 60 minutes with add-ons or multiple rounds. I can also be done in 25 minutes if I want do to life or attitude.

Warm-up 3-5 minutes

Start clock
Lift some weight with form for 4-10 rep (squats, deadlift, push-ups work too)
Immediately start rowing, riding, running, jumping until the end of 2 minutes
Rest for 1 minute.

Repeat 3-7 more times.

Did I mention how excited I am to be able to access all my old workouts from the last 6 years!!!!!!! Here is one you accomplished way back in December of 2017! Take rest in-between each rung. Take care of yourself and adjust weights as needed. Always warm-up first!
If you wanted to make it a little more intense (and a bit longer) you could add 1-2 minutes of jumprope or speedy step-ups in-between each rung.

I would ALWAYS rather be in the gym with our athletes than talking to a screen. Which is outweighed by the hard fact that I would rather YOU GET IN A WORKOUT when we can't be in a gym together.

Becoming a parent is called the overload principle. ..for many reasons that have nothing to do with weight training... but IN REGARDS to weight training the overload principle is that this human that you carry around ALL DAY gains weight. This change is weight is consistently making you stronger every day as your body adapts. Beautifully I might add.

So explain to me again ladies how you held a squirming, screaming, overly active toddler (some of you did this for years) while picking your enormous diaper bag and your car keys off the floor BUT you are only picking up the 10 pound weights in the gym for squats and farmer walks.....

These two lovelies arrived today. Kettlebells are my favorite piece of equipment. One of these in the appropriate weight can provide you with an entire full body workout that will kick you tail! Don't believe me... Try one. I'll even keep it simple.

Do each exercise for 8-10 reps as many rounds as needed. If the single weight is to light use it in one hand and then switch . Do the 8-10 rep count on each side. Need both hands because it's heavy then hold it center.
Squat (weight at chest)
deadlift (here is your hinge so weight is close to floor)
High pull
Curl
Press overhead
Row (Big preference for renegade rows which is a row in a plank position)
Pullover standing or on back
Chest press
Walk with your Kettlebell for 1 minute. You can hold it by your side, overhead, at your heart. Just walk carrying a load.

Feeling fancy add in some triangles or TGU's.
Don't make it complicated. Just pick up heavy stuff!
