Each time you bend over to pick something up off the ground you have an opportunity to improve the function off your body.

Separating upper and lower body rotation is crucial when developing transferable strength to rotational athletes.

This includes sports such as golf, hockey, baseball, softball, lacrosse and more.

One of our favorite ways to teach this rotational separation is the half kneeling landmine press.

The Push Up is a fundamental exercise and skill that everyone should master.

When performing a push up, you learn, practice and develop the model for stabilizing the shoulder in a strong and safe position.

However, if you are missing shoulder extension & internal rotation the bottom of the push up can be challenging to maintain a good shape.

When missing these key ranges of motion your body has to compensate. Watch the video to see the forward rolling of the shoulder.

To access more range of motion try this Banded Bully Mobilization next time you train the Push Up and see if you can develop greater control at the bottom of the exercise💪

Developing Optimal Core Strength and Motor Control takes time.

This is why we stress the importance of progressions.

We believe first an individual must learn the skill of performing and maintaining a robust position throughout the exercise.

Once this skill is adequate, we can challenge the system by creating additional strength and stability requirements through advanced exercises.

For many players, simply telling them to stop rounding their shoulders or straightening their spine will not make significant change to their golf swing.

The only way to correct C posture for good is to address where muscle and joint imbalances lie and improve these limitations in the gym.

This video explains a broad example on how to fix C posture.

Watch out for Scary Movement Patterns out in the dark of the night on Halloween causing weakness, discomfort and injury.

Maintain a close watch, keep good position!

- Coordinate opposite arms and legs when walking and running!
- Keep knees out when jumping and landing!
- Sustain a tucked neutral chin and wide shoulders when carrying!
