🏀❤️🖤 There's a million things we could say, but we'll keep it simple with a THANK YOU to all the players and coaches for an amazing ride on the hardwood over the past two+ years...this group of kids accomplished so much, going 47-4 overall with a 7th grade IESA Regional title, as well as being 2X SVC regular-season and tournament champions. Best of luck on your next chapter with Heyworth Boys Basketball , we'll be watching!!!

🏀 The eighth grade boys got by Maroa-Forsyth in the Regional Semifinals tonight and will face a talented Tri-Valley team for the third time this season in the Regional Championship!

Please consider making the trip to Monticello Junior High on Thursday for a 6:30 PM tip to cheer the boys on!

The eighth grade team earned the top seed in the Monticello Regional and will face Maroa-Forsyth on Tuesday at 6:00 PM.

This group combined to go 24-1 at home over the past two seasons!!!

🏆🏀 Eighth grade repeats as SVC Conference Champions, edging Tri-Valley 23-21 behind big performances from Ridge Braden (11 points) and Gavin Slayback (8 points)!!!!

🏀🏆 We’ve been derelict in our duties in keeping you up-to-date on this page, but both Hornet JH teams are having strong seasons!!!

The 8th grade team plays Tri-Valley for the Conference Championship on Tuesday at Corpus Christi at 7:45 PM. Come thaw out and cheer on the boys!!!

🏀 Another home sweep tonight, this time over Argenta-Oreana!!!

🏀 Silas Crow's nine-point second half outburst sparked 7th grade to a 39-37 come-from-behind victory.

🏀 Nine different players scored for the 8th grade, as they cruised to a 50-27 win that saw Gavin Slayback (16) and Ridge Braden (13) combine for 29 points.

🏀 The boys make the short trip to Evans JH on Thursday. 7th tips at 4:30 PM

🏀 Basketball season snuck up on us, but happy to report the boys opened the 2023-24 campaign with a sweep at Warrensburg-Latham tonight!!!

7th Grade: 38-23
8th Grade: 55-26
