Time to update everything.
2018 was a good year. Made the trip to Bristol for the ECF, they both had good showings in the fun races leading up to the main event. After that was the Division 1 race in Numidia. They werte having a really good time in the gamblers race, and ended up with a little payday from it.
The kids finished out the 2018 season with a trip to South Mountain Raceway for a Sunday race. Lexi always seems to have a good showing there, and Shawn doesn't do bad either. Mike has a nice track, and it's always a good time when we go there.
We finished out the year with a Thanksgiving race in Rockingham.
Prior to the race I made the trip to Mike Bos to drop off what willbe Kallie's car for a new body, and Mike met us at Rockingham with the car. It was a cold and wet weekend, but it was a race weekend away from home.
On the way home we made a detour to Roy Hill's shop to drop off both Kallie's new body, and Shawn's body for paint.
Late Janruary Shawn and I went back to North Carolina and picked the cars up from Crown Auto in Greensboro North Carolina where Tony did a killer job on them. If course the trip wouldn't be complete without stopping to see Roy Hill.
Fast forward to the 2019 season. We started out in Dinwiddie Virginia at Virginia Motorsports Park for our first points weekend. Once again we leave the Northeast and head South where it's colder than at home. Neither the cars, kids, or us liked the weather, but it was a fun weekend away.
We followed that up with the start of the season at Island Dragway. Lexi made it to the final for the first points race, and got caught sleeping, and took home the runner up. Not a bad start to the year.
It's been a slow start this year, we missed 2 race days at Island, and only made one trip to Atco Raceway so far.
Fathers day was a very good race. Three years ago Shawn won Faters day at Raceway Park, and Lexi was runner up in Quick-16, so it was great seeing them both in final rounds back then. This year it was Alexis and Shawn together in the final. They've raced each other, but never a final round. Alexis took the win, and it was her second in a row.
Just a few more weekends before the trip to Bristol for the Eastern Conference Finals. They are racing for Team VMP this year. Hopefully history will repeat itself
