This is why we should avoid see oils

Overview of Seed Oil Production
Seed oils are produced through a two-stage process involving mechanical and chemical extraction methods. This process transforms seeds into oils used for cooking and food preparation.
Extraction Process
Mechanical Extraction
Seed Preparation: Seeds are cleaned to remove impurities.
Crushing: The seeds are crushed using an expeller press to release oil.
Initial Oil Extraction: This method yields a raw oil, which is then filtered.
Chemical Extraction
Hexane Treatment: The remaining seed meal is treated with hexane, a petroleum-based solvent, to extract additional oil.
Heating: The mixture is heated to evaporate the hexane, leaving behind more oil.
Refining: The extracted oil undergoes refining, which includes bleaching and deodorizing to improve taste and shelf life.
Final Product
The final seed oil is often nutrient-poor due to the extensive processing. Common seed oils include canola, soybean, corn, and sunflower oils. These oils are widely used in cooking and processed foods, but their production methods raise concerns about health impacts.
