I began my natural horsemanship journey by attending a Parelli tour stop in 2004. I was 15 years old, and I decided THIS was what I wanted to do with my life. Our whole barn in the San Juan Islands in Washington State, made a switch to PNH, and there was no looking back. My grey Arab mare and I were asked to participate in two tour stops in 2006. I also wanted to graduate from college, and thus help to raise the level of professionalism in the horse industry, so I began at Linfield College in 2007 from where I would graduate a year early in 2010, with honors and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Then in the winter of 2009 I was offered a 6 wk internship at Atwood Ranch in CA, which I quickly jumped at during my winter quarter off from school; 6 weeks soon turned into 9 months and I finished my degree on-line during that time. I had the amazing opportunity to assist in running the Young Horse Development program for those 9 months; during which we prepared AR yearlings and performed with them at Redmond, OR, Fresno, CA, and the Performance Summit in 2010; as well as helping match them to forever homes. After my time at Atwood I returned to Florida where I was lucky enough to get to spend half my time studying under Kalley at the Foundation Station, and the other half riding and playing with Linda and her horses! Since then I have continued my journey riding and learning with many different trainers across disciplines. Im excited to bring my own background and feel to your horsemanship journey!
