Any of my friends thinking of getting into call making? Turn Key Setup- other than maybe a specific mandrel to your liking, and a jig if you care to use one.

July 11 was a beginning and end to a lot over here! Hope the ones in between were meaningful. I still turn calls, just not near as many. I’m proud of the work and collaboration with people I now don’t just consider friends, they are family. Dad made a mark, and that won’t ever die. Love you each

Standing over a lathe wasn’t something I can say I was looking forward to. There is still a lot of “why’s” I just can’t wrap my head around, and unanswered questions my mind can’t seem to let go of. A lot of people won’t understand it, and I’m ok with that. What used to take me a week on this size order has taken me over a month to complete and about another month just to get started bc I couldn’t bring myself to begin.
One thing I’ve learned in the last year is this. The human soul can be completely crushed, the mind disappointed, the outside skin completely battered and bruised, but it can restart. It can pick itself up and carry on. It can make a recharge and it can be serenity and peace, if you don’t lay in your own pity and expect it to just get better on its own. You will fail, and you will learn. Do them both with Grace because in the end the whole purpose wasn’t for you, and your self worth. It may have been to help someone else.
Thank you Lee Todd and the whole crew with Flop For Pop for always believing in me, my Father’s legacy and our ability to help out. Lord knows, he showed me this for a reason, even if it’s not 3-400 calls a year like it used to be.
