A Little Update From Our Racing Family ❤️🏁
At the beginning of this season, things were looking strong, and we had some pretty big hopes and expectations for the year ahead. We were excited, motivated, and ready to get back out there and do what we love. But sometimes, the good Lord has plans for us that look a whole lot different from the ones we had made for ourselves.
This is something I’ve struggled with sharing because, while I believe in being honest and transparent with the people who support us, I also have a mama’s heart that wants to protect her babies from the world and keep certain things private. But I feel like I owe the people who have followed our journey, supported us, cheered us on, and wondered where we’ve been a little explanation.
On April 28th, our world changed in a way I wouldn’t wish on any parent. We found ourselves facing every mom and dad’s worst nightmare when our 15-year-old daughter reached a point where she no longer wanted to be here. It was a day filled with fear, uncertainty, and moments that no parent should ever have to experience. We fought with everything we had to get our baby the help she desperately needed, and after what felt like an eternity, emergency responders arrived and we began a journey that would forever change our family.
Since that day, life as we knew it has been turned completely upside down. We’ve had to learn a new normal, navigate things we never imagined we would face, and put our time, energy, and hearts into what matters most: our family and our daughter’s healing.
I won’t share the details of her personal journey because that story is hers to tell, if she ever chooses to tell it. What I will share is that I am beyond grateful to still have my baby girl here with us. There are no words to describe the gratitude that comes with being able to hug your child, hear her laugh, and watch her continue to grow after coming so close to losing her. She still has hard days, and healing is not always a straight road, but she is doing so much better, and for that, I will forever thank God.
As much as racing is a part of who we are, some things in life are bigger than the sport. This season, our priorities had to change, and our focus had to be right where it needed to be. We haven’t forgotten about the track, the car, our racing family, or the people who have stood behind us. We’ve simply been fighting a different kind of battle away from the racetrack.
At this point, with the 2026 season winding down, we’ve decided to sit out the remainder of the year and focus on our family while continuing to work toward getting back out there for the 2027 season. We don’t know exactly what that road will look like yet, but we’re hopeful for brighter days, stronger hearts, and another opportunity to do what we love.
To everyone who has checked on us, continued to support us, asked about the car, or simply wondered where we disappeared to, thank you. Even if you didn’t know what we were going through, your support has meant more than you know.
Life has a way of reminding you that the things we sometimes take for granted are actually the biggest blessings of all. Right now, I’m just thankful for another day, another chance, and the privilege of being a mama to my babies.
Please keep our family in your prayers as we continue navigating this new normal. Hug your babies a little tighter, check on the people you love, and never underestimate the battles someone may be fighting behind closed doors.
We may have missed this season at the track, but we’re still here, still fighting, and still looking forward to the day we can strap back in and go racing again.
Until then, thank you for sticking with us. We hope to see y’all back at the track in 2027. ❤️🏁
