Greetings from the kayak shack, looks like weeki wachee dodged a bullet with Ian. Praying for our neighbors to the south. The river is clear and the water is clear and we are open, cmon down and enjoy our little piece of paradise.

Boat parade day, remember the kayak shack is doing 10 dollar parking, all the parking money goes to local animal shelters, plus we will match all money raised, last year we raised over 2500$ and matched that, ouch, lol. Let’s beat it this year. We will also be accepting donations of food, blankets, cleaning supplies, toys or anything else the shelters could use. Come join us at the Kayak Shack, get a beverage at eh upper deck and enjoy the festivities.

BOAT PARADE DEC 11, THE KAYAK SHACK has a PRESENTS FOR PAWS box for all that would like to donate to our furry friends, also 10$ parking fee for parade all proceeds will be matched by THE KAYAK SHACK and donated to ...KATHYS K-9 , FUREVER FRIENDS , RUFF RESCUE, blankets, pet food, leashes, collars, dog bowls ,towels etc are also needed at our local shelters SEE YA ON THE RIVER !!!

Just an update on the donations received from the Weeki Wachee boat parade. With all the donation 2 pups got pulled from the animal shelter and put into foster homes. Our little community kicked butt. Some much was donated we were able to get it to 4 shelters and rescues. Here are your pups weeki wachee.

What more can I say, weeki wachee you guys are the best. These are most of the donations we received at the kayak shack. There are way to many people to thank, so let us just give you all a great big THANKS. There will be many wagging tails this year.
P.s we are still taking donations.
Can’t wait til next year.

Remember tonight is the weeki wachee Christmas boat parade. Parking available at the kayak shack for 5$. The proceeds will be matched by the shack and donated to Hernando county animal shelters.

Keep your plans open for this Saturday December 19. Weeki Wachee is having their annual boat parade that takes place at night. We are doing a donation of $5 for parking and willing to take any donations for the local shelters. They would to have
-leashes
-collars
-blankets/towels no holes
-canned dog and cat food (no dry please)
-dog and cat beds
-toys for all animals
-dog and cat treats
-cat litter
-litter boxes
-anything related to dogs and cats

At the end of the night we will 100% match all cash donations from the parking and spread the love to all shelters.
