Transparency & Community Support

We want to take a moment to be open with our community.

As a small nonprofit dedicated to providing veterans and first responders with access to scuba diving at no cost, funding is always one of our biggest challenges. Right now, a large portion of our support comes from fundraising raffles, which help us cover training costs, dive expenses, and equipment.

While raffles have allowed us to continue our mission, we’re actively working to grow more sustainable funding so we can help more heroes and expand our programs.

Six heroes will be selected to earn their scuba certification — fully funded through community donations. 💪

🚒 Five Hernando County Fire Rescue Divers — Almost Certified! 🌊🐠

Tomorrow, we’re proud to be taking five Hernando County Fire Rescue firefighters to Blue Grotto in Williston, Florida for their final two dives before becoming fully certified scuba divers! 💪🔥

One of these heroes is fully funded by Hernando Beach Diving with Heroes, while the others were introduced to diving through our Discovery Scuba program (also covered by HBHERODIVE) and decided to continue their certifications on their own — how awesome is that? 👏

A huge thank you to Hernando Beach Scuba for providing their instruction and helping us make this possible! 🙌

Every dive is another step toward building stronger, more confident, and capable first responders — both in and out of the water. 🌊🇺🇸
