Well this picture pretty much sums up the last 10 years. Beauty and Goody! That makes perfect sense considering we are at Disneyland here. She’s the best and I couldn’t be more grateful to have her in my life! Happy 10 year anniversary ❤️❤️❤️

Triangles came naturally to me early on my whitebelt days. This classic submission, trapping the head and one arm inside of the guard, can be very versatile if used properly. One of my first coaches told me a story about a fighter who used to lock the triangle and give his corner the thumbs up as if knowing that the finish was coming. This story always resonated with me and it helped me understand to trust the control. Triangles have given me a lot of victories on the competition mats, all through white, blue and purple. I have recently been playing with some creative transitions, which I hope I can put to play this weekend at my first tourney in Arizona. I’d be happy taking some backs too 😂🙏🏽🔥

AMAZING post by of . I’d like to add/reiterate that it’s about the training and culture around wrestling that demands greatness. No other sport on Earth creates the mental and physical strength and toughness that wrestlers possess.

Numbers don’t lie, so your training probably needs to change
Wrestling with 28, BJJ with 17, boxing with 12. Still, nationwide, wrestling classes remain the most overlooked in almost every fight gym. I know this because I see it but also hear it from friends around the world
Wrestling is a glue that helps blend all styles together and a lack of it makes you very choppy in your transitions; it’s not about takedowns as much as it’s about feel and body awareness. There’s always exceptions but numbers don’t lie.
Bottom line - it’s mainly the easier of learning curve, top control, and ability to dictate where the fight takes place battle that helps wrestlers . It’s also way easier to teach a wrestler basic boxing and BJJ defense than it is to teach any of the other arts how to wrestle.
The only style more effective than wrestling and BJJ, is clearly WRESTLE-JITSU aka a wrestling forward, grappling base.

This is a spot on Post from Physiqonomics, follow that account, it’s awesome.
When applying these priorities to Combat athletes, we see why fighter can rapidly transform their bodies into generally having the best, leanest and strongest performing bodies in sports.
Top fighters have strict adherence to these priorities during their 6, 8, 10 and even 12 week fight camps and the results speak for themselves time and time again. Here’s how these priorities can be seen fitting into to a fighter’s general training camp:
1. Weight cut (caloric deficit).
2. Muscle maintenance (protein intake).
3. Weights/Resistance Training (Strength Training).
4. Technique training (NEAT).
5. Live drilling & sparring (Strength/Cardio/HIIT).
There is a lot that goes into planning a fight camp. A good coach will build each camp around basic fundamentals of nutrition, fitness and their combat sport.
And for those who aren’t fighters but looking to lose the body fat or body recomp, why would you do anything different than what a fighter does? Follow the same basic fight camp design above and just omit sparring. Everything else remains the same.
Trust the process, train like and athlete! @ Hermosa Beach, California

As my man says... There is a difference between a “The Technician, The Trainer and The Coach” ... I’m a Coach, not a Cheerleader and I’m not for everybody. Honesty isn’t for everybody either but I’m still gonna give it ・・・
Your coach may get on your last nerves but if you really want to be successful you better get 1 and listen to him
