This is the problem with the fitness world!
It shouldn't be about the freaks that have made themselves amazing in one aspect of fitness and then try to get others to think that their "thing" is best.
Our job as fitness professionals (almost hard to put those two words together), is to educate and inform the public about adapting a healthy lifestyle.
It's not healthy to run marathons and not be able to lift your own bodyweight....
It's also not healthy to bench 500 pounds and not be able to run across the street to save your life....
It's about adopting a healthy lifestyle where you can do a little of everything!
You can run a mile and not want to do die, you can do 10 pullups, you can easily bend and touch your toes, you eat a blend of fruits-vegetables-protein that are whole foods, and most importantly you have an attitude of gratitude for God and all He has given you.
That is the message we should be giving to make this world a better, healthier place to live for all!
Thank you and God bless,
Mike DeMora
This post is not meant to call out anyone in particular. It is meant to bring awareness of the bigger problem. The confusion of what is healthy and to help guide others choices to healthier options....
