Hermosa Cycleryโs first manager, Stuart Orford, stopped by for a visit yesterday. He worked here from 1972 to 1979 and was my boss for a few days when I started in โ79. He made a very positive, lasting impression in such a short time and did the same yesterday.
I figured we would spend maybe 10 to 15 minutes chatting. Two hours later, it still hadnโt been enough time. I had completely overlooked that we both spent a fair amount of time with the same fascinating cast of characters who surrounded our beloved late founder, Harold Schumaker. I was enthralled to hear about our early history that occurred before my time. - Steve
