Hermosa Beach Little League This is the official FB page for Hermosa Beach Little League. HBDS is the parent organization of HBLL and the ASA Softball affiliate in Hermosa Beach.

Hermosa Beach Little League (HBLL) was founded in 1951, and has since worked to provide the children of our community the opportunity to play baseball and develop the qualities of respect, teamwork, integrity and honor. HBLL provides the opportunity for children, ages 4 to 14, to experience and learn the great sport of baseball at various levels. Hermosa Beach Diamond Sports (HBDS) was incorporate

d in 2011 and operates as a 501(c) (3) tax-exempt charitable entity. Our goal is to provide a safe, enjoyable and community-minded recreational environment for our children. We want every child who participates in HBDS to:

• Have fun;
• Learn baseball and softball fundamentals in a safe and supportive environment;
• Appreciate the importance of community, friendship, sportsmanship, responsibility, and teamwork;
• Make great memories to last a lifetime.

BIG love for our Hermosa 9U squad who took 2nd in the 2026 Tournament of Champions! They battled hard over the past couple weeks, grinding together and supporting each other through some thrilling games! Sincere thank you and congratulations to head coach Steve Rombro, and his assistants Bill Graessle and Matt Ryan! You all represented Hermosa with grit, talent and class.

9u TOC team won another against Lunada Bay Friday!

Smith Hill with a 6-3 double play in the first to keep the score at 0.
He then came in to pitch in the middle of the 2nd with 1 out and 2 on, got out of the jam to keep us at 0.

Tied at 8 in the bottom 5th Mason Bell hit a single up the middle to give us a 2 run lead. And then in the bottom of 6, Logan hit the walk off single!

Hermosa plays in the Tournament FINALS this Sunday at 9a and 1130 at Lunada Bay field. They gotta win both for the championship. Let’s get some HBLL crew up on the hill to cheer them on!!

Our 9U Hermosa ballers continued their TOC campaign this morning with a thrilling 10-9 WIN over Lunada Bay! Beautiful spotlight on big Jack who went 2-2, including a WALK OFF Home run with 2 outs in the bottom of 6th; and catcher Finn Ryan who went 1-3 and threw out 2 runners attempting to steal.

The District 36 9U Tournament of Champions is officially underway with 7 leagues competing for the top spot. Hermosa Baseball kicked it off with a definitive 11-1 win over MBLL! Big congrats to our ballers, and a shout out to young Logan who dealt 4⅔ innings of no-hit, no-walk ball, leaving with a spotless line except for one unearned run!

Beginning with the 2018 season, Little League International transitioned to the USA Baseball bat standard. The new rule reduced the performance advantage of modern composite and alloy bats, making the game more comparable to traditional baseball while enhancing player safety. We confirmed with HBLL historians…a 10 year old has not hit a no-doubter home run on North Field since this rule was implemented nearly a decade ago…until yesterday when Sebastian of team Vista hit a 3 run blast in the AAA Championship game.
