Update on Tim vs. the clock...

Against all odds (and despite starting at 1pm), Tim got every basket cemented in. I'd say I was surprised, but I've learned not to bet against him when he says, "It'll get done today."

They're not quite ready for play yet—we still have a few adjustments to make to get everything dialed in—but seeing all 18 baskets standing on the course is a pretty awesome sight.

I'd ask him how long the adjustments will take... but after yesterday, I know better. 😄🥏

Tim’s out installing the last five baskets today… because he told me they’d be in today. No ambiguity, no backup plan, just confidence.

And in classic Tim fashion, he kicked things off at 1pm, sun high, energy questionable, and absolutely zero concern for the concept of starting earlier.

At this point it’s less of a construction task and more of a personal challenge for him: five baskets, one afternoon, and a strong belief that daylight is just a suggestion.

We’ll see who wins… Tim or the clock. 😄🎯

Rain or shine, progress did not stop at Hermon Mountain this past weekend! 🌧️🥏

This weekend turned into a true family affair. While the rain came and went, everyone pitched in to keep the disc golf course moving forward. That's what building something special looks like.

✅ Every tee platform is now built.
🥏 Tim says all the baskets will be in today (and we're holding him to it 😉).
👦 Hayden even got his first disc golf lesson—because around here, everyone has a job... even if it's learning how to play!

What's left? We're adding the non-slip tee surfaces, doing a little tree cleanup, and then... we're just about ready.

Opening day is getting close, and we'll be announcing it soon! In the meantime, you can already find the course on the UDisc app.

Thank you for following along as we build this together. We can't wait to see everyone out on the course!

Graduation season is here, and whether your ceremony has already happened or is still coming up, we want to take a moment to congratulate the Class of 2026. 🎓

Now it's time for the next climb.

As you head off in new directions, know that Hermon Mountain will always be here. The views might look a little different each time you come back, but the feeling of being home never changes.

Some of the baskets are installed. Tim is making sure they work like they should. Can't wait to see the pros doing it from more than 10 feet away.

Sunshine, flying discs, and chains doing what they do best.

Tim said he was “just taking a quick break” which somehow turned into a full disc golf session. Hard to blame him when the baskets are catching like this.

The best part? The course isn't even finished yet. Every throw is a reminder that this mountain is really starting to come alive. More progress, more laughs, and a whole lot more work still ahead of us—but it's getting easier to picture what's coming.

For now, we'll let Tim call it "course testing." ☀️🥏⛓️

Mid-week update from the mountain: things are steadily moving along, and this week it’s very much a family affair in the best possible way.

Between projects inside and out, progress is happening but so is something even more meaningful. The kids have been right there in it with us, showing up with a willingness to help that honestly matters more than how much gets checked off the list. Small hands carrying big energy, asking questions, jumping in where they can, and reminding us that building something like this is never just about the work itself.

There’s something special about watching it all come together this way—less about speed, more about shared moments, problem-solving side by side, and creating memories in the middle of sawdust, tools, and fresh ideas. It’s not perfect, it’s not quiet, and it definitely isn’t efficient… but it’s ours.

The mountain is moving forward, but the real story this week is that we’re building it together.

End of the week update from the mountain:

Baskets are here, lumber showed up, tees are being built, trails are getting cleaned up, and Dave and Tim spent another week coming up with big ideas. Pretty sure they talked to each other more than their wives this week.

Big things are happening up here… and it’s only getting started.

Hayden was back at it again last night mowing trails on the mountain… and now we want guesses: what trail do you think he tackled this time? 👀

Seeing the mountain without snow still feels strange. We’re so used to ski trails and snow guns that green grass, dirt trails, and a mower cruising up the mountain almost looks wrong… but somehow also awesome. 😂

At this point, we’re pretty sure Hayden just sees a steep trail and thinks, “Yeah, the mower can handle that.”

Meanwhile, Tim is probably planning three more projects, and Dave is somewhere updating an Excel spreadsheet with tabs for mower hours, trail progress, and fuel usage. Somehow, the mountain keeps looking better every day.

Some nights the mountain reminds us why this place means so much to so many people. The sunsets, the lake, the view from the top… it’s more than just a ski hill or a disc golf course. It’s where memories are made, families gather, kids grow up, and the community comes together.

And while the view looks peaceful now, somewhere before this picture was taken Hayden was out there earning MVP status by bravely mowing up Cloud 9 like an absolute legend. Not all heroes wear capes, some just drive mowing equipment straight up a mountain so the rest of us can stand back and admire the beauty.

Huge shoutout to Hayden for keeping the mountain looking incredible. 🌄💪
