Clarence Thomas with the help from James build the first bocce court in . Carmine Cassese from the MVR Club in Youngstown, oversaw the construction of the courts. Carmine gave James his first bocce set because at that time you couldn't purchase a bocce set from the store. The response of having the bocce court in the backyard was overwhelming. So the following year Court 2 was built. A few years following the building of courts. The in house league was created and has been going ever since.
