LAST POST!! As I am working in the shop today to start the process of the last final inventory of whats left and to begin to tear down the shop and clean up, it has given me some time to reflect on the last 12 years. Wow! With a tear in my eye I can honestly say what a great 12 years it has been. The fact that the business was as successful as it was is nothing short of a blessing through divine intervention. Thank You God. The years here brought about a lot of conversations, a bunch of laughs, and even a few tears. But all are very fond memories and I am so thankful that God brought all of you who were customers into our lives. The true wealth that I gained from this little shop was not in monetary value, but in the friendships and relationships that were built over the last 12 years! Running this shop is absolutely the most memorable thing I have ever done in my life, but not because of the things I sold, but more so in having the pleasure to meet and deal with all of you awesome customers. Pomme De Terre Arms LLC will be re-opening! But only for a few hours this Saturday morning. Because we have had several request from our awesome customers to be open one last Saturday, we have decided to open from 8:30 until 11:30 Saturday morning. We are open again for a few days this week!! Wow, what a journey 2024 has been for us this far!! Trying to close the shop during some of the most difficult times our family has ever faced has been challenging at the very least. A trip to IA to see family followed by a a sudden trip to North Carolina to bring our daughter back who is going through divorce, then my in-laws in Spencer, IA went through catastrophic historic flooding while my elderly father in-law is suffering with some declining health issues, so we went back to IA to help as much as we could with that. During this whole mess my truck had to go into the shop twice within a week for repairs. But through it all, God has shown us the way to deal with it and I thank Him and praise Him for that. God Is Great!! So, just maybe things will calm down a little and I can actually get the shop closed for good over the next few weeks. So with all that said, we will be open Tues and Wed this week, July 2nd & 3rd. We will be closed July 4th through July 8th open again on the 9th. We still have a very nice selection of merchandise available at very good discount prices. Stop by and take a look! Praying y'all have a blessed, safe, and fun Independence Day! Well folks, I have to once again this year temporarily close the shop due to a family hardship. I am sure that most of you have heard about the historic devastating floods in the upper midwest. My in-laws live in Spencer, IA and were directly affected by these floods. Cindy's family are in need of our help and support to help them get through this horrible time. Please keep all the victims of this event in your thoughts and prayers! I will be here at the shop today (Tues 6/25) and until 12 noon tomorrow 6/26. I am not sure when we will be able to re-open as I don't know how long this will take up there. I picked the wrong time to try and close the shop LOL! I will post on FB when we will be back open.
