Sensei Sam, Sensei Nicole, Dom and Sensei Sam's husband David are on the road to Florida! Colton, Regan and Regan's mom will fly out next week and the tournament starts on the 29th.
Our team wants to say thank you for all the support you all have given us. Everyone has been very generous and so encouraging. We could not have done this without you all! We promise to represent our school well.

We would like to say congratulations to Sensei Keaton and Sensei Justin for earning the rank of Nidan (second degree black belt) on Friday night. We are very proud of them and wish them both well as they head off to college and the military at the end of the summer. They have both been part of our TMAA family for several years and their absence will definitely be felt, but we know they will take what they have learned here with them and continue to grow.
Congratulations, guys! You rock!

Tomorrow, Thursday, is a big day for TMAA of Hermiston!
First, we have a free class for kids and adults who wish to check out what Martial Arts is all about. It's from 5-5:45, for ages 7 and up. (For ages 4-6, contact us.) We will be learning some traditional basics and a self defense move you can take home and practice! Text us at (509)308-1450 or email us at [email protected] for more information.
Second, tomorrow is our final fundraiser for our National Team! Join us at Cuppa Yo for some amazing frozen yogurt and a portion of the sales will go directly to our team. Just mention the fundraiser when you check out and they will do the rest.

TMAA of Hermiston has partnered up with Cuppa Yo for one final fundraiser before our team heads to the AAU National Karate Championships in Ft Lauderdale!
Thursday, June 11th, stop in for some frozen yogurt between 6-9pm, mention you are there for our fundraiser and a portion of the sale will be donated to our team. It's as easy as eating yogurt!

Congratulations to Sensei Keaton! He graduated from Hermiston High School tonight and is heading to Washington State University in the Fall! He has been a student at TMAA of Hermiston since he was in kindergarten and will be greatly missed. He has grown up in our dojo and we are so proud of him. We can't wait to see what his future holds.

TMAA of Hermiston brought home 5 gold, 7 silver and 7 bronze medals from The Franco Cup today. There were 9 competitors from our school, 3 of which had never even been to a tournament before. Everyone gave their best, had a good time and represented our school well.

We had such a great time this morning at the tonfa seminar. Shihan Mike and Cash Scott came down and taught a kata for beginners and a more advanced kata for those who already have experience with it. There were 10 students and instructors in attendance and everyone learned a lot. We are excited to have more students know how to use this awesome weapon.
We strive to have these weapon seminars every quarter, so keep listening in class for an announcement for the next one!
