Hermann High School Clays League had a heck of a Spring 2026 trap season! Some of our kids set some goals at the start of the season and some of those goals were not only met, but crushed! Last weekend, 13 of our leaguers attended the Missouri State High School Clays League State Tournament. This is open to everyone in the league. The day started with a LOT OF RAIN, but ended it with some amazing shooting!! Here are a few highlights:
Eileen Swofford placed 2nd in the Novice division for females and 5th overall (out of 34). Penny Cramer placed 11th.
Sawyer Moore placed 20th in the Jr. Varsity for males (out of 40).
Macie Kallmeyer placed 4th in the Jr. Varsity for females (out of 9).
Ian Binkholder shot another straight 25!
Paige Fennessey shot her first straight 25!! She had her eyes on this goal for a while and we knew it was just a matter of time. AND SHE DID IT!! Paige also was the top Varsity female shooter (out of 5).
Creten Page shot a straight 25…and then did it again…for his first ever STRAIGHT 50!!!! To top off his day, he shot an overall score of 96/100. This landed him in 11th place for varsity male’s division (out of 89) and varsity overall (out of 94).
Also placing in the varsity male’s division was Kazimir Rudzinksi (37th), Lance Uthlaut (39th), Ian Binkholder (41st), Kyle Koch (45th), Chase Williman (64th), Carter Humphrey (75th), and Brady Traub (78th).
Hermann High School placed 6th for the day out of 15 teams!
Finally, we would like to thank the various businesses that helped support the season! It costs $300 for one kid to participate in one season. And these businesses helped ensure 22 kids were able to participate this spring! We have a very generous community, and we are forever grateful for the individuals that make all this possible – including the parents of the league that help chase all this down for our kids!
