UPDATE: We have been in contact with those involved and are working with them privately to address the damage. We appreciate everyone who reached out with information. At this point, we consider this a private matter and ask that no names or speculation be posted publicly.
VANDALISM AT THE BALLPARK
Unfortunately, we need to address an incident that occurred at our ballpark on Saturday evening at approximately 5:45 PM.
As you can see from the photos, vehicles were driven onto areas of the ballpark property, causing damage to both the grass and gravel areas. This is disappointing and completely unnecessary. A tremendous amount of time, money, and volunteer effort goes into maintaining these facilities for our kids and our community.
We also want those involved to know that we are aware of the two vehicles involved in the incident and have received information from witnesses regarding what occurred.
At this point, our goal isn’t to publicly embarrass anyone. We would much rather see the individuals responsible step forward, acknowledge a poor decision, and take responsibility for repairing the damage they caused.
If you were involved, or if you are the parent/guardian of someone who was involved, please contact the ballpark privately. Your identity will remain private from the public if you come forward and work with us to make this right.
Everyone makes poor decisions from time to time. What matters now is what happens next. This is an opportunity to own the decision, take responsibility for it, and help restore the property that was damaged.
We hope those responsible choose to do exactly that.
