Today, recent HHS graduate & athlete, Gavin Williams, was surrounded by family, friends, teammates and coaches as he signed his Letter of Intent to run track with Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, KS.

Haskell’s Coach Mays talked about the promise he sees in Gavin for their collegiate track program based on Gavin’s talent and character. Coach Gillispie surprised Gavin with the presentation of his All Star jacket. Gavin earned his All Star honors based on his fantastic finish at State this spring. As Coach Been stated in the introduction, only 7% of high school athletes earn the opportunity to compete at the college level. We are incredibly proud of Gavin and wish him much success in his college career in Kansas!

Those sirens you hear on main street today at 11am and tomorrow around 8am, are just annual standard procedure for Henryetta Tennis and Track as they head off to their respective State Tournament and State Meet!

HS Girls Tennis heading to OKC this morning at 11.
HS Track to Catoosa tomorrow morning at approximately 8am.

We encourage you to help see them off! They will be traveling down main street from west to east at the above mentioned times!!

Those sirens you hear going down main street today at 11am and tomorrow around 8am are just standard annual procedure for Henryetta Tennis and Track. They are both off to their respective State Tournament and State Meet to represent H-Town as they always do!!!

HS Girls Tennis headed today at 11am to OKC Tennis Center for the 4A Girls State Tournament.

HS Track athletes headed out tomorrow at approximately 8am to Catoosa for the State Track Meet.

Help send them off if you can. They will head down main from west to east at the above mentioned times!!

HENRYETTA BASEBALL AREA INFO:

Class 3A Baseball Area will be at Oklahoma Christian School on Thursday, May 7th and Friday, May 9th. Game times on Thursday will be at 2:00 and 4:00 pm. The link to the OSSAA digital ticket is here. They will also take $10 cash per ticket at the gate.

Fans CANNOT park in the normal OCS lots before 4:00 since they will have students and teachers parked there for school. Everyone will park in the gravel lot labeled "Baseball Parking" on the attached map. There is a trail that runs from the parking lot, south of the football field that continues on to the baseball field. Please follow the red arrows on the map.

Bus parking will be at the bus barn. The location is also noted on the attached map.

Athletes who are planning on taking advantage of this FREE opportunity to get their 26/27 school year athletic physical, MUST stop by their school office to take home the athletic packet. This packet includes the physical form that MUST be signed by their parent/guardian before the physical may be performed. This packet also includes all other ANNUAL MANDATORY paperwork required by the Athletic Department for athletes and parents. Those packets are now available in the HS and MS offices!!

Students will be called out of classes by grade throughout the day for physicals if they wish to participate in this option.

A BIG THANK YOU goes out to Susan Brandt at Hometown Healthcare!!!

If students can’t make this free event, Susan will accept walk-ins at Henryetta Urgent Care/ Hometown Healthcare on Main St. for $25/student.

📢 ATTENTION, KNIGHT NATION!!

HHS Sophomore, Keegan Hamric, broke the previous school SHOT PUT RECORD today in a big way at the Prague track meet!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Keegan set a new school record to replace one that has stood for 25 YEARS at HHS! The previous record was set in 2001 by Jessica Girty (McNac) with a throw of 35’10”. Today, Keegan blew it away with an incredible throw of 38’8”! Wow!!! 😮

🏆 Congratulations for making school history and achieving personal greatness today, Keegan. We are proud of you and are excited to watch what’s ahead for you!

Congratulations to Stormi Waquie who celebrated her signing with Southwestern Oklahoma State University on an athletic and academic scholarship! Stormi is a 4 sport athlete at HHS, but will be running Cross Country for the SWOSU Bulldogs in Weatherford! Stormi was supported by many today! HPS is proud of Stormi and wishes her all the best in the next chapter of her life. Knight Nation has enjoyed watching her on the sidelines, court and track over her successful high school career at Henryetta.
