I just want to take a minute to say how grateful I am for all the support so far. The messages, shares, encouragement, and conversations have meant more than you know. Starting this journey with Lazy Nines Outfitters has been exciting, and seeing the community rally behind it makes it even more special.

Right now I’m working through the licensing process and getting everything lined out the right way. I’m building this the proper way from the ground up so I can offer a safe, professional, and first-class experience on the water.

We’ll also have merch coming soon 👊 Hats, shirts, and more so you can represent Lazy Nines Outfitters wherever you go.

One thing I’m really excited about is documenting the entire process. I plan on filming the journey from getting licensed and preparing the boat, to time on the water and growing into a successful fishing charter. You’ll get to see the progress, the lessons learned, and the grind behind the scenes.

This isn’t just about fishing it’s about building something my family is proud of and creating outdoor memories for others that last a lifetime.

Hi my name is Ken Avis. I’m 37 years old and proud to call Henrietta, Texas home. As a lifelong North Texas outdoorsman, I’m excited to launch Lazy Nines Outfitters and begin serving our community as a crappie fishing guide.

I guide on Lake Arrowhead, Possum Kingdom Lake, Lake Nocona, and Lake Bridgeport — as well as other North Texas lakes within about two hours. Whether you’re a seasoned angler chasing slabs or bringing your kids out for their first fish, my goal is simple: put you on fish and help create lasting outdoor memories.

I’m a husband to an amazing wife and a dad to three great kids, so I understand how important quality time outdoors can be. Fishing isn’t just about the catch — it’s about the stories, the laughs, and the memories that stick with you long after the trip is over.

At Lazy Nines Outfitters, you can expect:
