🥋 What a wonderful day at the Hendersonville Farmers Market! 🥋

We had an amazing time connecting with our community and giving everyone a chance to experience a little bit of martial arts! Participants got to try a quick lesson and finish it off with an exciting board break! 💥

We’re so glad to see that not only the children had a blast, but the parents joined in and enjoyed the experience too! It was wonderful seeing families step outside their comfort zones, try something new, and have fun together.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by, participated, and supported Aeon Martial Arts. We truly appreciate the warm welcome from the Hendersonville community and can’t wait to see many of you again!

One of the biggest questions I get from adults is, "Am I too old to start martial arts?"

My answer is always the same: It's never too late.

This is Sean. At the time of this video, he was 80 years old and training to improve his health so he could continue helping others and spread the Word of God.

As we get older, staying active becomes more important than ever. Regular exercise helps improve balance, strength, flexibility, heart health, and mobility while reducing the risk of falls and helping us stay independent. It also supports mental health, boosts energy, and keeps both the body and mind strong.

Sean is living proof that age doesn't have to hold you back. His dedication, humility, and perseverance are truly inspiring. No matter your age, taking that first step toward a healthier lifestyle is one of the best investments you can make in yourself.

It's never too late to start.

The Axe Kick is one of the most powerful fundamental techniques in Taekwondo and one of the most underrated and underutilized kicks in MMA.

When executed with proper timing, flexibility, and accuracy, it can break through an opponent's guard, disrupt their rhythm, and end a fight in an instant. While it's not used as often as roundhouse or front kicks, the Axe Kick remains a devastating weapon in the hands of a skilled martial artist.

Never underestimate the power of mastering the fundamentals.

Found some more throwback videos from many many years ago. Even though I'm not as young, strong, fast, and high-flying as I was back then, I'm more knowledgeable, experienced, and patient. Those years of training, teaching, and learning have given me so much more to pass on to my future students. Age may change your body, but experience shapes you into a better teacher.
