HIHA Evaluation Update
Due to the current extreme heat and high heat index conditions, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this season’s player evaluations.
With temperatures remaining dangerously high, we want to prioritize the safety and well-being of our players, coaches, and families. The combination of extreme heat, elevated heat index values, and the potential for rink conditions to become slick creates unnecessary safety concerns for everyone involved.
We know many players and families have been looking forward to evaluations, and we appreciate your understanding as we make this decision with player safety as our top priority.
🏒 What’s Next?
The HIHA Draft will move forward as scheduled on Thursday, August 20th.
Coaches and league staff will use the information already available to build balanced teams for the upcoming season. We are excited to get the season underway and look forward to seeing everyone at the rink!

Oh....Also, can we take a second to appreciate the AI bringing back the vintage Franklin plastic hockey blade? 😂 Pretty sure every kid in the ’90s had one of those in the garage. Evaluations may be canceled, but apparently the 1992 Franklin plastic hockey blade has been cleared to play. 😂🏒
