HUGE congratulations to Coach Alex and his wife, Sydney, on the birth of their son, Sullivan! 🩵 Alex has been a big part of the Sumner Rugby family since he started playing for the team when he was in 8th grade! Such a full circle moment to see Alex & Sydney welcome their future rugby player to the family!

State Championship Saturday is ALMOST here! 🏆 We would like to highlight the efforts of one of our Sumner Rugby players: Jackson G. is fundraising for his Eagle Scout project…a scoreboard for the rugby pitch! Jackson will be under the t-shirt tent at the tournament to answer questions and take donations. If you’d like to donate ahead of time, check out the project info & Venmo below. The High School & Middle State Rugby Championship is THIS Saturday! Come see us at the Hendersonville Rugby Complex, gates open @ 9AM. Sumner Rugby player, Jackson G. will be fundraising for his Eagle Scout project: a scoreboard for the rugby pitch!

Vietastic Food Truck will be onsite all day and concessions will also be available. Check out the tournament t-shirt too! Gate fee $5. Hope to see you there! 🏆

Super proud of Sumner Rugby player and Beech High School Junior, Jackson G. last night as he presented a proposal for his Eagle Scout project to the Hendersonville Parks Board. He did a great job presenting his proposal: a scoreboard for the rugby complex!

The project was approved unanimously by the board and Jackson will be fundraising at Saturday’s state championship tournament to make his project a reality! We hope you will support his efforts to improve the rugby complex for all who visit the park!

Proud of our two seniors this year:
Shaq and Evan!

Shaq has been playing for Sumner Rugby for 6 years! He has grown SO much and we are so proud of him! He is enlisting in the Army after graduation. Thank you for your service, Shaq!🇺🇸

Evan played rugby in Chicago before joining Sumner Rugby 2 years ago. He’s a great young man and has grown as a player over his years with our team. He’s heading to UT-Knoxville to play rugby and study engineering.

Best of luck to these two student-athletes in their next chapters!
