Important lessons I heard today:
GET OUT OF THE HOUSE. action absorbs anxiety! Do SOMETHING productive and well! Takes risks and don’t let rejection stop you! So what if you lose. Failure has cowered a lot of men but you’ll have enough courage and strength to get into the next fight. Don’t you dare let go of your dreams. Don’t you dare let go of what God has in store for your life!
And
Repetition is reputation. What you repeatedly do is what people think of you. One act of kindness or one bad mistake doesn’t define who you are. What you REPEATEDLY do is who you are.

Tomorrow is the day! They’re all assembled and oiled. Lasered and pinned. Printed and stacked. Tuesday we surprise 5 people who are highly connected with the THING with these creations!
And you will all finally find out what they actually are!
Maybe I have revealed enough in th pic and you can figure it out.

3 things are complete and ready for final coat of shellac. 4, 5, & 6 are in the final stages of assembly. I have dearly enjoyed making these and will be so very proud to present them in the coming days! Are you getting one of the 6? (I think 4 of the 6 recipients do follow this page)

I know yall have been waiting for the next step in the THING project! We received our boards back from the laser engraver this week! Assembly has restarted and the first coats of finish have been applied! These gifts should be ready before christmas! They are going to be given to 5 people with a connection to the THING! Thanks to Jack Babbitt for the laser engraving!Jack Babbitt

The “thing” project took a giant step forward this Thanksgiving Day! All the experiments were successful! I did learn some things about order of operations tho. (I totally did this one in the wrong order lol!) now it only needs a little dedication to finish it!
Any guesses what this project is for?

Wow it has been a long time since I’ve been in the wood shop! A very sad “thing” has happened in my community and a lot of cherished memories can now only be relived in our hearts! This project might make it easier to remember the “thing”. I am making SIX of these and will be delivering them to certain important people. If you know, KEEP YER MOUTH SHUT! I Still have some experimenting to do before I can say my design is complete! The two main tools I’m using are both over 100 years old and one is at least 130!
