Most riders are training to survive an enduro race, not actually win it.
I hear it all the time in the pits (mostly from parents):
“they just need to ride more cross country.”
And sure, if the transfer climbs are the most difficult part of your race, you better get some grindy spins under your belt.
But those XC miles do nothing for what actually decides your result between the tape.
Enduro stages are sprints. Sometimes they have climbs in them and flat, pedally sections, sure. But that’s overall a small part of the demand of a race stage.
That disconnect between how riders train for these races and what the race actually demands is the exact problem many face over and over.
That’s exactly why I built the RPM Gravity Method; so riders can stop guessing and start training for what the sport actually demands.
Stop training for survival, start training to win.
