On this day, 77 years ago, Jackie Robinson took the field with the Brooklyn Dodges. We believe Jackie Robinson Day is one of the most important days of the year, as the life and legacy of the man who broke MLB’s color barrier is celebrated world wide.
We are honored that so many chose to play for change. Baseball will forever be indebted to one of the greatest men to ever put on a uniform. Jackie navigated the most unimaginable hardships with the utmost character and grace, showing generations of ballplayers to come that anything is possible. Jackie’s pursuit of breaking color barriers continues to inspire today, and we remain relentless in our charge to change the trajectory of diversity in our sport.
We are proud to be apart of the baseball community that celebrates this monumental day in history. We are forever grateful for Jackie’s legacy and positive impact he made on the world of baseball for us.
Here’s to you, Mr. Robinson.
