Co-Owners Dave and Carol Ruegge have been involved with youth baseball in this town for over 25 years, first getting their start by supplying umpires to different leagues and tournaments throughout the valley through their original business, Vegas Valley Umpires. In 2008, an opportunity to become the new local directors for So
uthern Nevada USSSA presented itself and, soon after, Dave became the new State Director for USSSA. Ultimately, the two businesses merged into one and Vegas Valley Baseball was born. Since 2008, both our youth tournaments and umpire business have seen tremendous, sustainable growth. On top of that, the fall instructional league we put together that same year has grown to a consistent 600 kids each season. Our goal has always been to offer kids of all abilities the opportunity to get involved in youth baseball, both playing and umpiring. The continued loyalty and support we have been given from the baseball community over the years has been nothing short of amazing and we look forward to working with all of you for many more to come. At Vegas Valley Baseball, we are always brainstorming new ways to expand our business and grow the sport in town. We felt that a batting cages would add value not only to our brand but to the teams and players, as well, by offering them another platform to work on different aspects of their game. In researching the locations of the current batting cages, it was apparent that there was a major void in the Henderson area, which is where a majority of our fields are located for tournament and league play. Further, with more and more teams forming in Henderson, we wanted to make sure they had a facility nearby to get as much practice time in as needed at a reasonable price in a clean, friendly environment.
