Trails through Michigan's Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore can be steep or sandy — but people who require hiking mobility assistance can now rent a motorized chair with treaded tracks to get around.

Yesterday Jim Tignanelli, Defender Mobility, and it's generous donors did it again. Of course we were there to help surprise Chris go over operations of new wheelchair. Chris Ochs, 27 yrs old, suffered a broken back on his 5th mission in Afghanistan when an IED caused the vehicle he was in to flip. He was trapped in the gun turret and was left paralyzed. You would've enjoyed seeing him ride across the lawns at Moran Buick in Taylor. Chris has several "off road" hunting excursions in his future with us. Very gratifying to be a part of his day! Thanks to our friends at Brownstown PD for proving the honor guard. So special!

Bad River Outdoors is once again glad to be hosting the annual Drew-Foundation September Deer hunt here in Michigan. Bless us all a safe hunt, long lasting friendships and lots of great memories.

Sunday service started at 6:15 for BRO with two long beards closing the distance for two great friends. Veteran Larry McKee and Bro Tom Smith. At 6:30 they were posing for the camera with a double double. That's what you call a double with both Strutters having double beards. Larry's came in with a 10" and a 4", Tom's came in with a 10" and a 7 ", both had 3/4" spur's. At 7:30 we were at the Ructic for some over easy eggs.
Then of course at 9:00am my next stop was Service at Hope Lurthen Church to pay thanks to who makes all this possible.
