Great day to be an Eagle 🦅! Today we celebrated the success of Blue Mountain Wrestling’s past and present at the District XI Scholar Athlete banquet. Owen Woll was in good company as our Scholar Athlete nominee, which also honored the induction of Coach Jim Trusky, Josh Kindig, and Coach Tod Kindig 🙏🏼. Was great seeing familiar faces and grateful for the relationships formed over the years. Go Eagles and congrats to all!

2025-2026 Blue Mountain Wrestling Junior High & High School banquet. What an incredible way to wrap up the wrestling season! 🤼‍♂️ 🦅

We were honored to have guest presenter Sam Julian join us and share powerful insights about wrestling—and the life lessons that come with it. His words reminded us that the discipline, resilience, and mindset built on the mat carry far beyond the sport.

Tonight, we celebrated 7 amazing seniors who have left a lasting impact on our program. Your leadership, dedication, and heart will not be forgotten. We’re proud of everything you’ve accomplished and can’t wait to see what’s next for you!

We also recognized many talented junior high and high school athletes for their hard work and achievements this season. The future is bright!

Congrats to our heavyweight, Vaughn Helverson, for placing 6th this weekend at Districts! Vaughn is the first alternate to move on if anyone scratches in the bracket.

Every season is filled with highs and lows. How you bounce back from the lows, shapes your character. Our district is arguably one of the toughest in the country. We do not hang our head in face of the challenge. We learn from mistakes, gain experience, and use it as fuel for our future goals. Back to work we go.

Last weekend was filled with Blue Mountain Wrestling success:

🦅 The Junior High team participated in the district tournament where they placed 4th as a team with 6 individual medalists and 1 champion!!

🦅 Biddy wrestling placed 3rd at the Coal Cracker League Championship!

🦅 Special shoutout to High School wrestler Sebastian Hilt for placing at JV Districts!

Come out this Friday to cheer on our varsity wrestlers at Liberty High School as they compete in the District XI AAA tournament.
