What are these bucks doing after everybody leaves the woods? 👀

Here's another look from a client's property using the DJI M30T and JZT60R IR light after dark.

Seeing where bucks are spending their time at night can give a landowner a much better picture of how deer are actually using the property.

You'd be surprised what's moving around after dark. 👀🦌

Tonight we're using the DJI M30T paired with the JZT60R IR light to watch bucks on a client's property.

Being able to observe these deer at night gives us another piece of the puzzle when we're trying to understand how they're using a property.

Apparently, every time I use “copyright-free” music in a video, somebody eventually decides it ain’t so copyright-free and hits me with a claim. 😂

So I’ve found a solution.

From now on, y’all get to listen to my crappy guitar playing in the background. 🎸🤣

A little morning buck watching on a client’s property. 🦌🚁

Found a few younger bucks hanging out in this select cut. They may not be giants yet, but I love seeing how deer use different types of timber and habitat throughout a property.

Would you hunt the select cut itself, or set up along the edge of it?

You guys who have yeti coolers, do you pre-ice it? I just bought my first one, and the ice is normally melted within six hours. It seems like a $300 cooler should be better than a $20 igloo. Lol.

Altitude and actual distance from the ground are NOT necessarily the same thing.

That becomes really important when you’re flying across ridges, valleys, and changing terrain.

In this quick video I use the DJI Matrice 30T to show the difference between the drone’s displayed altitude and using the laser rangefinder to check the actual distance to the terrain below. The same concept applies to the M4T and M4TD.

Something every enterprise drone pilot should understand.

🚨 LOOKING FOR GAME WARDENS / CONSERVATION OFFICERS FROM ACROSS THE COUNTRY 🚨

I’m working on an idea for a series of Facebook Live conversations with game wardens/conservation officers from different states, and I’d love to eventually have someone join us from every state possible.

The goal would be simple: give hunters, trackers, drone operators, and outdoorsmen an opportunity to hear directly from the people who enforce and understand their state’s wildlife laws.

We’d talk about things like:

• Drone use related to hunting and deer recovery
• Tracking wounded deer
• What is legal—and what isn’t—in that particular state
• Common misconceptions hunters may have
• Questions from viewers
• And anything else that could help outdoorsmen better understand and follow the law

I want to make one thing very clear: this would NOT be an opportunity to bash game wardens, argue about regulations, or try to put anyone on the spot.

Quite the opposite.

I want these to be professional, respectful, educational conversations that help build better communication between hunters, trackers, drone operators, and the men and women responsible for enforcing our wildlife laws.
