🍑 The workout was officially over…but everyone stayed for glutes!
Three days a week this month, our members are sticking around after class for an extra glute challenge.
Nobody has to do it. Nobody is being forced. (They might have a different opinion but, believe me, they like it!)
Yet every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday they keep showing up and getting after it.
That’s where strength is built. In the little decisions that say:
“Yeah...I can do one more set.”
I’m proud of this crew. They’re working hard this month. 💪

🇺🇸 This is exactly what the America 250 Challenge is all about.

Deb didn’t just do her squats. She got out into the community, found a great local landmark, and made it part of the challenge.

That’s what I love about this.

It’s not really about 250 squats.

It’s about moving more.
Having fun.
Getting a little creative.
Trying something new.
And maybe convincing a friend or family member to join you along the way.

🇺🇸 Finish Strong! 🇺🇸

We’re heading into the final stretch of Week 1 of the America 250 Challenge.

If you’ve already hit your 250 squats, congratulations! 🎉

If not, don’t panic.

A few here.
A few there.
A walk around the block with some squat stops.
A quick set while dinner is cooking.

It all adds up.

What I’ve loved most this week is seeing people get creative, involve family and friends, and find their own way to make the challenge fun.

That’s exactly what this is all about.

Now finish those squats because Monday brings a brand-new challenge…

Don’t worry—just like the squats, there are lots of ways to make them work for your fitness level.

Wall pushups.
Bench pushups.
Knee pushups.
Traditional pushups.

They all count.

Let’s finish Week 1 strong and get ready for Week 2! 🇺🇸

🇺🇸America is a melting pot…your squats can be too. 😄
Good news for everyone doing the America 250 Challenge:
ALL squats count.
Air squats.
Box squats.
Goblet squats.
TRX squats.
Chair squats.
Weighted squats.
Bodyweight squats.
Half squats because your knees are yelling at you squats. 😉
Mix it up all week long and make the challenge work for YOU.
The goal isn’t perfection.
The goal is movement, consistency, community, and a little good old-fashioned American grit. 💪🇺🇸
Now go find a fun patriotic spot and knock out a few more reps!

🇺🇸ITS WEEK ONE! 🇺🇸
Have you started your 250 squats yet?!
The America 250 Challenge officially begins today, and we’re kicking things off with 250 squats this week. 💪
🇺🇸Here’s the goal:
✔ Complete 250 squats by the end of the week
✔ Get a little patriotic while you do them
✔ Post a pic or video and tag
✔ Have some fun with it!
Do them in front of a flag.
At a baseball game.
At a BBQ.
At the lake.
With your grandkids.
In red, white & blue.
Serious or silly…we don’t care. Creativity rules. 🇺🇸
This challenge is about celebrating America, community, movement, and proving we can still do hard things.
Now go get squatting. 😎

The America 250 Challenge starts Monday! 🇺🇸

This year marks 250 years of America.

And while no country is perfect, we are incredibly blessed to live the lives we get to live here. The freedoms. The opportunities. The ability to gather together, move our bodies, challenge ourselves, laugh with friends and family, and celebrate this country openly.

That’s what I want this challenge to feel like.

Not a fitness competition.
Not pressure.
Not perfection.

Just Americans doing hard things together. 💪🇺🇸

Every week from June 1 through July 4, we’ll have one challenge:
250 reps of a specific exercise by the end of the week.

JUNE 1-7 STARTS US OFF WITH SQUATS!

And I want people to get creative with it.

Do them:
🇺🇸 in front of a flag
🇺🇸 at a memorial
🇺🇸 at a baseball game
🇺🇸 in a park
🇺🇸 at a barbecue
🇺🇸 wearing red, white & blue
🇺🇸 with your kids or grandkids
🇺🇸 serious or completely ridiculous 😂

I want to see the American way of life.
The beauty of where we live.
The humor.
The grit.
The community.
The freedom.

Every week from June 1–July 4, we’ll post one exercise challenge:

Do them all at once.
Spread them out.
Modify as needed.
Recruit your family.

Ten straight minutes of core work.

That’s where our members will finish by the end of this week. I’m REALLY proud of them. And, while they did not love it (guess how I know!), they are proud of themselves, too! And they should be!

They got to a level of strength many of them never thought possible...because they showed up consistently.
Back in early May, we started with just ONE minute added onto class.

One minute. Then another. And another.
Now here we are at ten.
That’s how strength actually works for most adults. It doesn’t happen all at once, or through punishing workouts...just steady progress, consistent coaching, and lots of encouragement.

Every single exercise can be adjusted to YOUR level of ability. For this challenge some people were on the floor. Some did the work with modified movements. All of them surprised themselves.

That’s what we love around here.Training for life means building strength in ways that help you feel more capable…not more intimidated.

And these people did exactly that. 👏

Some of the most important things we work on in the Studio?
Getting comfortably up and down off the floor. Stepping up and down. Throwing and catching. Moving from exercise to exercise quickly to challenge our mind/muscle connection.
That may not sound exciting…but it matters.
Because strength isn’t just for workouts.
It’s for:
✔ getting up after gardening
✔ playing with grandkids
✔ recovering from a fall
✔ traveling confidently
✔ moving through life independently
This is what “Training for Life” actually looks like.
And yes…
our members are stronger than they think. 💪
