ADDITIONAL RAIN 🌧️ It's hard to believe I'm posting this after a lot of the state has already received 1-2"+ of rainfall, but the low responsible for all of the moisture is essentially just going to be hanging out over Montana until it slowly moves out on Wednesday.

That means the cool, cloudy and showery weather we've had this weekend will continue into Monday and Tuesday. High temperatures will only reach the 40s and 50s.

North central Montana is going to pick up the heaviest and steadiest precipitation and yes, there could still be an additional 1-2"+ of rainfall where the heaviest rain bands set up.

Thankfully, rainfall rates have generally been light enough to limit the risk of widespread flooding. That said, rivers and streams will continue running high, so use extra caution if you're near the water.

Inches of rain are likely this weekend. Flooding potential will increase through Sunday into Monday. Some of the mountains will see somewhere between 4-5 inches of RAIN.

As May fades away we look forward to a real wet weekend, and June coming in strong.

A few thunderstorms are hitting Big Sky Country again, but the storms will become stronger and more numerous over the next few days.
